There is a famous Chinese proverb which says, “a journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step”- the Israel based company Eviation, fully intends to take that 1st step! A step that is going to cause significant disruption to the global oil industry over the next decade.
The world’s first full electric passenger airplane, that comfortably seats a crew of 2 plus 9 passengers. Capable of flying 1367 km’s at 480 km/h with a cruising altitude of 10,000 ft.
Imagine the improvements over the coming decade of extended range, and performance figures?
What happens if Eviation is able to partner up with other EV related companies like Tesla for example? Canada needs to understand in 5 years the 4680 Dry-Cell is likely to produce 450 Wh/kg to 480 Wh/kg through advancements - electric airplanes will not only compete with fossil fuel aviation, but actually SURPASS fossil fuel performance. Unfortunately Canada’s governments & political parties both federal & provincial, and most of our government policy advocacy groups (didn’t see the Tesla 4680 Dry-Cell coming in 2021) are ill equipped to debate the policies of today & tomorrow and seem fixated on the debates of yesterday. My guess is that most of the people in the media and government through no fault of their own, are simply ignorant to market innovations & disruptions. I’m reminded of people who thought no one would ever give up a Blackberry for an iPhone - and that is exactly what happened!
Canadians needs to be ready; that means a national precious metals mining strategy; instead we seem intent to sell our mining resources to foreign corporate entities and governments and watch others benefit from the economic wealth of innovation & disruption…See video below:
