Canadian energy exports from Saskatchewan & Alberta are desperate to find tidewater ports to supply the global community with Canadian ethically sourced oil & natural gas.
Political cultures in British Columbia and Quebec mean that future pipelines through either of those two provinces is a dead end.
When confronted with problems, adults find solutions. Churchill Manitoba is the solution to the world’s energy problems. I’ve spoken about this idea for decades.
The Hudson Bay’s average water depth is 330 feet. A double hauled tanker ship requires forty-five feet of water to safely navigate.
Port of Churchill would require a floating mono-buoy which tankers attach to and is connected to a swing. The mono-buoy freely moves 360° with the tide and wind. The mono-buoy would sit in water of forty-five feet to sixty feet deep. An underwater pipeline would transfer crude oil from a pipeline and or tank farm to the mono-buoy and to the tanker ships.
Manitoba would need to step up with basic road upgrades and telecommunications infrastructure. The provincial government would need to supply search & rescue operations and upgraded fire department infrastructure. The project would need an Ambulance service on site as well. The federal government would need to upgrade rail infrastructure. All this of this would revive the economy of Northern Manitoba creating good long-term jobs and development.
Hudson Bay is currently ice free 6 to 7 months of the year. It is new yearly saltwater ice, which means it is not thick like in the arctic and modern icebreakers would have no issues keeping water open.
So, who would not like this idea? Well, a loud group of so-called “conservatives” would despise the idea. It ruins their end game — fundraising on the back of British Columbia & Quebec is a reliable source of constant political revenue.
The Conservative Party of Canada does not want the idea to work. It weakens anti-Ottawa fundraising opportunities which the party and its grifters desperately need to survive. Pitting its western prairie base against the “Eastern Laurentian Elite”…
The Hudson Bay Energy Export Terminal would be a large northern development project providing excellent job opportunities and economic development opportunities for northern communities.
The solution for the global community’s need for ethically sourced oil in the face of Russian & Putin aggression and war in Ukraine is the Hudson Bay.
In 10 years, I will make sure to remind you about the Hudson Bay Energy Export Terminal concept again…
